Abstract

Zafarullah Poshni is the last survivor of The Rawalpindi Conspiracy Case. He was imprisoned along with Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Sajjad Zaheer and others. Charged by the Liaqat Ali Khan regime of a conspiracy to overthrow the government and destabilize the country at the behest of left-leaning intellectuals and foreign powers.  Zafarullah Poshni, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Sajjad Zaheer and other fellow accused faced an uncertain future as the threat of death hung over their hapless heads. Eventually released in 1955 for want of evidence, the accused had walked away to build new lives. 50 years later, as Pakistan reels from coup to catastrophe, no one remembers the details of the so-called conspiracy. Zafarullah Poshni shares his memories of prison in his book "زندگی زنداں دلی کا نام ہے". Pakistan Academy of Letters awarded “Pas-i-Zindan award” to Zafarullah Poshni in 2010 for his literary historical and appreciate able work. Zafarullah poshni has also written a novel “دوڑتا چلا گیا” . He proves his literary genius in this novel.  This Paper is the critical study of    Zafarullah Poshni’s novel “Dorrta Chala Gaya”
